Beauty below Zero

“In the depth of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.”

Albert Camus

Today was one of those days. After a clear night, almost full moon, the temperature had dropped below zero Fahrenheit. It may have been a drag to work outside before sunrise to take care of the dogs, but then winter had created beautiful surprises for us on our window panes. A garden of flowers and leaves came to life in the early morning light.

Life was good. And still is.

They say no two snowflakes are alike. I believe the same can be said about ice flowers.

  1. How gorgeous those ice flowers are. I’ve never seen anything remotely like them. Not even on anyone else’s blog from the far northern climes.
