Into the Wild

Sunshine

“How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!”

John Muir

A precious moment in the Alaska wilderness.

A fine, sharp ridge line creeps up into the sky, only to disappear in dark clouds of a lingering winter storm. The ridge crest is divided decisively by the setting sun. That’s what I see. I love obscure landscapes, in transition, leaving room for imagination.
