  1. That is a wonderful photo – like I was saying to a man who photographs birds in England, it’s more a portrait of that individual bird than a shot that tries to get everything in for a proper picture of a Bald eagle. I like this better!

    • Thank you! Very kind. It is hard to keep perspective here. I am surrounded by almost 2000 eagles and probably hundred photographers. Sitting eagles around here are pretty easy to capture…
After all, they are majestic creatures indeed.

  2. Hi Bearly, Are you down around Haines? Just curious. Your beautiful photo reminds me that I’ve been meaning to post some eagle photos from hear in Chignik Lake. Very busy lately with new species of birds passing through the village and lots of photos to sort through and edit. Hope your day is going well. Jack

    • Hi Jack, yes the images are from the Bald Eagle Preserve near Haines. Can’t wait to see your pictures. I think the migratory birds around here are already gone.

      • Our summer birds are gone, but we’ve been flooded this past week with pine grosbeaks, golden-crowned kinglets, a few (I think) golden-crowned sparrows, and a very few Oregon race junkos. So, yeah, I’ll be putting up some photos in the next few days I hope.
